| Becoming involved in lettings is somewhat different from sales personnel. The money is faster but then so are the negotiations, the valuations, the take ons and the viewings. You must be:
- Intelligent - you will have to learn many laws and regualtions.
- Proactive - you must be one step ahead of the competition to be the best.
- Negotiate - able to negotiate deals and think fast.
- A hard worker - you will have to do a variety of jobs often leaflet dropping as well as viewings.
- Target orientated - you must be competitive in order to exceed targets.
- Prepared to work weekends - this can be the busiest time.
- Organised - you must have an organised diary so you know what you are doing when.
- Hungry for money - basics can be low and commissions high.
- Have a driving licence - some agencies ask for it to be clean.
- Demonstrate ability to cope under pressure.
